West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday carried out an aerial survey of cyclone-hit areas in North 24 Parganas district, officers mentioned.
Accompanied by Chief Secretary Alapan Bandyopadhyay, Banerjee took inventory of the post-cyclone scenario in Hingalganj, Hasnabad, Sandeshkhali, Pinakha and different areas of the district, they mentioned.
“I’ve seen that many of the areas have been inundated. Homes and huge tracts of agricultural fields are below water. A area survey will even be carried out,” Banerjee mentioned.
