Days after Madhya Pradesh and Haryana governments promised to convey a legislation in opposition to ‘love jihad’, the Yogi Adityanath authorities in Uttar Pradesh has introduced an analogous measure. The Residence division on Friday mentioned that the federal government will enact a strict legislation to test the circumstances of affection jihad, information company ANI reported. The Residence division mentioned that it has already despatched a proposal to the Division of Regulation to hunt its opinion.
Earlier this week, the BJP govenments on Madhya Pradesh and Haryana introduced to enact a legislation in opposition to love jihad.
The Shivraj Singh Chouhan authorities mentioned that it’s going to introduce Dharma Swatantrya (Spiritual Freedom) Invoice 2020 within the subsequent session of the state Meeting in view of the rising incidents of affection jihad. State Residence minister Narottam Mishra mentioned that the proposed invoice has a provision of a rigorous imprisonment for the interval of 5 years for luring an individual by fraud and forcing marriage by spiritual conversion. Such offence will likely be non-bailable.

In Haryana, the federal government mentioned committee will likely be setup to draft a strict legislation in opposition to the menance. State Residence minister Anil Vij mentioned that motion will happen in opposition to any one who is discovered “indulging in spiritual conversion by pressuring, tempting somebody or is concerned in any form of conspiracy or tries to take action within the title of affection”.
In the meantime, the Karnataka authorities can also be mulling over bringing a legislation in opposition to spiritual conversion.
