A 26-year-old software program engineer allegedly married two girls in 5 days in Madhya Pradesh after which fled, police mentioned on Sunday. Based mostly on a dishonest grievance filed by a lady’s household in Khandwa on Saturday, the police are conducting a probe into the matter, Khandwa’s Kotwali police station inspector B L Mandloi mentioned.
The accused, resident of Musakhedi space in Indore, allegedly married a lady in Khandwa on December 2 and one other girl at Mhow in Indore on December 7, the official mentioned quoting the grievance.
In keeping with the grievance, one of many Khandwa sufferer’s relative who had gone to a marriage dinner in Mhow tehsil of Indore despatched pictures to her household by means of cell phone on December 7 of the accused’s second marriage in 5 days, the police officer mentioned.
Subsequently, the Khandwa girl’s household lodged a police grievance right here, in search of registration of an FIR towards the accused.
As per the grievance, the household spent Rs 10 lakh on the wedding and home goods given to the bride.
The grievance additionally said that the accused, after marrying the girl, took her to his place in Indore.
After a couple of days, he advised her that he needed to go to Bhopal for some unavoidable work, however, he went to Mhow to marry one other girl, the official mentioned.
On December 2, the accused had come for the marriage right here together with his mother and father, brothers, sister and different kin, he mentioned.
When the Khandwa sufferer’s household spoke to the girl with whom the accused tied the knot in Indore, she advised them that her marriage was organized and never a compelled one, as per the grievance.
After December 7, the accused didn’t return house and switched off his cell phone, Mandloi mentioned.
Search was underway for the absconding accused, he added.
