‘Tareekh Pe Tareekh…’: Rahul Gandhi’s swipe at Modi govt after talks with farmers fail to interrupt impasse

Persevering with his relentless assaults on the Modi authorities over the farms legal guidelines, Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Friday questioned the intentions of the federal government. Rahul Gandhi alleged that the federal government was working as per a deliberate technique to intentionally stretch talks with protesting farmer unions.

“Neeyat saaf nahi hai jinki, tareekh pe tareekh dena technique hai unki! (Those that do not have a transparent motive, repair new dates everytime as per a technique),” Rahul Gandhi tweeted in Hindi.

Farmers are protesting towards the three farm legal guidelines handed final 12 months in Parliament and are demanding their withdrawal. The Congress is supporting the farmers’ agitation and their demand.

The previous Congress presiden’t comment got here quickly after the Friday’s talks between the farmers and the federal government failed to achieve any conclusion. The following spherical of talks have now been scheduled for January 15. 

Chatting with media after the assembly, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar stated the federal government continues to be hopeful that union leaders will include alternate options to debate within the subsequent spherical of talks.
