‘Shocked’ at heavy visitors in Mumbai, Uddhav warns of stricter curbs

Seemingly sad with the heavy vehicular motion in Mumbai amid the raging coronavirus fears, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday warned of imposing stricter curbs. 

“I used to be shocked to see heavy vehicular visitors in Mumbai at present. I used to be questioning if I stated something about restrictions being lifted final night time, however I did not. If this continues, stricter curbs must be imposed,” Thackeray stated. 

Earlier on Sunday, Uddhav prolonged the lockdown-like curbs until June 15 and likewise introduced relaxations shall be granted relying upon the COVID-19 positivity price and availability of oxygen beds. 

In municipal firms or areas of districts with lower than 10 per cent COVID-19 positivity price and the place the provision of occupied oxygen beds shall be lower than 40 per cent, all of the institutions/retailers engaged in important commodities and companies which might be presently opened from 7 am to 11 am can now stay open from 7 am to 2 pm, the federal government stated in an order.

For districts and firms having greater than a 20 per cent positivity price and the place over 75 per cent of oxygen beds are occupied, the borders of such districts shall be closed and no individual shall be allowed to enter or exit in such districts.

The exceptions shall be demise from a household, medical cause and emergency companies or companies associated to such conditions.
