A 23-year-old man was arrested for allegedly blackmailing his former girlfriend for cash by threatening to add her personal movies and photographs on social media, police mentioned on Tuesday (April 6). A senior police officer gave details about the complainant that somebody had hacked her Fb account by means of which she shared some personal movies and photographs together with her ex-boyfriend.
The girl said that she had already paid Rs 15,000 to the blackmailer however he once more demanded Rs 15,000 extra from her following which she lodged a criticism with the police, the officer added. In the course of the probe, police checked the cell phone of her ex-boyfriend, Shubham Sharma, and apprehended him on Monday (April 5).
The 23-year-old man is a resident of Gali Arya Samaj space of Delhi, the officer added.
Interrogation showcased that Sharma was underneath debt and after the lady broke up with him, he used one other telephone quantity to contact her. He informed her that he had hacked her social media account and downloaded her personal movies and photographs. He threatened to add the content material on social media if she refused to provide him cash, the officer additional said.
