Maharashtra govt promotes college students of Class 9, 11 with none exams

The Maharashtra authorities on Wednesday stated it has determined to advertise all state board college students of Class 9 and Class 11 to the following class with out conducting any examinations, amid a surge in coronavirus circumstances. 

“Within the wake of the present COVID-19 state of affairs, all state board college students of sophistication ninth and 11th might be promoted to the following class with none examinations,” Maharashtra Schooling Minister Varsha Gaikwad introduced Wednesday. 

Earlier, Gaikwad had introduced that Maharashtra board college students from Lessons 1 to eight might be promoted with out examinations. 

The state of affairs attributable to the coronavirus pandemic is popping grim in Maharashtra. On Tuesday, the state reported 55,469 recent coronavirus constructive circumstances, the second highest spike within the two days, taking the tally of infections to 31,13,354 whereas 297 deaths pushed the toll to 56,330. Maharashtra is now left with four,72,283 energetic circumstances. In the meantime, Mumbai recorded 10,040 new circumstances and 32 deaths.
