At the very least one unidentified terrorist was killed throughout an ongoing encounter with safety forces in Jammu and Kashmir on Friday. The gunfight, which started Thursday night was reported from Lalpora space of Pampore. In line with the small print, the joint police crew of Awantipora and Pulwama had obtained inputs about terrorists firing upon two people in Tral Awantipora and Wanpora Pulwama.
A search operation was later launched by the police whereby the hiding terrorists had been tracked down.
In Awantipora, a shopkeeper recognized as Mohammad Ayoub Ahanger, son of Ghulam Ahmad resident of Panzoo Tral was injured after he was fired upon by terrorists close to Tral bus stand. He was later shifted to a close-by hospital for remedy the place he was declared as introduced useless.
In Pulwama, a sumo-driver recognized as Mohammad Aslam Wani son Mohammad Ramzan was injured following the firing by terrorists. A resident of Wanpora Pulwama in Wanpora, Wani was shifted to a hospital for remedy.
Circumstances had been registered beneath related sections of legislation in PS Tral and PS Pulwama respectively.
Additional investigations into the case is underway, whereas areas have been cordoned off for search operation.
