Delhi govt exempts electrical autos from registration price

The Delhi authorities has exempted all battery-operated autos from the registration price underneath its electrical car coverage, Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot stated on Friday. Earlier this week, the federal government had waived street tax on all electrical autos.

“Congrats once more, Delhi! Subsequent in record of breakthrough incentives promised by CM @ArvindKejriwal, the Delhi govt exempts Registration price on Battery Operated Automobiles. Delhi leads once more, the EV means! ,” Gahlot stated in a tweet.

Chief Minister Kejriwal had in August launched the Electrical Automobile Coverage saying incentives of as much as Rs 1.5 lakh on the acquisition of four-wheelers, Rs 30,000 on two-wheelers, auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws and freight carriers, in addition to promising waiver of street tax and registration price.

Earlier on October 11, the Delhi authorities had introduced exempting of street tax on battery-operated autos fulfilling what was promised as per the Delhi’s Electrical Automobile Coverage 2020. 

The transport division issued a notification on the street tax exemption of electrical autos on the instructions of the Chief Minister.
