CBI registers case towards Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar in corruption case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday registered a case towards Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar on the allegations of possession of disproportionate property to the tune of Rs.74.93 crore (approx) in his title and within the title of his members of the family. Searches have been performed at the moment at 14 areas together with Karnataka, Delhi, Mumbai on the premises of Shivakumar and others which led to restoration of money of Rs.57 lakh (approx) and several other incriminating paperwork, the probe company mentioned in a press release.

The state authorities had given permission to probe corruption fees towards Shivakumar to the CBI.

“CBI has registered a case towards the then Minister of Karnataka Authorities and others on the allegations of acquisition of Disproportionate Belongings. Searches are being performed at the moment at 14 areas together with 9 in Karnataka, four in Delhi, one in Mumbai,” a press release by CBI mentioned.

Cong alleges ‘witch-hunt’ after CBI raids Shivakumar

 The Congress accused the BJP of enjoying an “insidious sport of intimidation” by means of its “puppet CBI” after the company performed raids towards its Karnataka unit chief Shivakumar. The opposition celebration questioned the timing of the raids, as by-election to 2 meeting seats in Karnataka is to be held on November three, and termed it as “witch-hunt” by the BJP towards its political rivals.

Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala mentioned the “raid raj” is not going to deter it from unearthing “corruption and maladministration” by the BJP governments. “The insidious sport of intimidation and machinations of Modi-Yeddyurappa duo being executed by a puppet CBI by raiding DK Shivakumar will not deter us.”

CBI doing its job, raids don’t have anything to do with bypolls: BJP

Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwath Narayan on  mentioned the CBI searches weren’t politically motivated and it has nothing to do with the November three bypolls to 2 meeting constituencies within the state.

“Earnings Tax division and Enforcement Directorate had earlier raided Shivakumar and CBI raids could also be continuation of it, so let’s not paint it with political color,” Narayan was quoted as saying by his workplace in a press release.

He mentioned the system was larger than any individual in society. “Let the reality come out,” the deputy chief minister mentioned.

CBI, ED ‘love’ my son, allow them to arrest him: Shivakumar’s mom 

Gowramma, mom of Shivakumar mentioned that the central companies discovered nothing towards his son throughout their searches they usually “love” him as “they arrive time and again”. “The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Earnings Tax (IT) and Enforcement Directorate (ED) love my son, that is why they arrive time and again. Allow them to search and take no matter they need. They obtained nothing, allow them to arrest my son,” she mentioned.
