Bombay HC orders CBI probe into corruption fees made by Param Bir Singh in opposition to Anil Deshmukh

The Bombay Excessive Courtroom has directed the CBI to conduct preliminary inquiry inside 15 days into corruption allegations made by former Mumbai Police commissioner Param Bir Singh in opposition to state’s Dwelling Minister Anil Deshmukh. 

Former Mumbai Police chief Param Bir Singh had set off a significant row final month when he alleged that Deshmukh had requested suspended Assistant Police Inspector Sachin Vaze, who has been arrested within the SUV case, to gather Rs 100 crore from Mumbai’s eating places, bars and hookah bars.

Singh, who was transferred to the low-key Dwelling Guards on March 17 following the arrest of Vaze within the Antilia case, in a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had claimed that he was made a scapegoat. Within the eight-page letter, Singh had alleged that Deshmukh used to name law enforcement officials to his official residence and provides them a “assortment goal” from bars, eating places and different institutions.

Allegations of Singh in opposition to Deshmukh and the Sachin Vaze episode pushed the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) authorities on the backfoot. Vaze was arrested by the NIA, which is probing the restoration of an explosives-laden automobile from exterior the south Mumbai residence of industrialist Mukesh Ambani final month and in addition the alleged homicide of businessman Mansukh Hiran, the purported proprietor of that SUV.
