70-year-old Afghan refugee murdered by bike-borne assailants in Delhi’s Vikaspuri

 A 70-year-old man was shot lifeless by two unidentified bike-borne males outdoors his home in west Delhi’s Vikaspuri. The deceased has been recognized as Attam Singh, a resident of Vikaspuri. Singh was rushed to the Sehgal Hospital on Outer Ring Highway, the place he was declared introduced lifeless. He obtained a bullet harm on his head.

Two males, carrying helmets, on a bike had been seen close to Singh’s residence across the time of the incident. When the deceased stopped his automotive close to his residence, the pillion rider allegedly fired at him and subsequently, the duo fled the spot, Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Deepak Purohit stated.

The autopsy examination of the deceased shall be carried out on the Deen Dayal Updhyay (DDU) hospital on Tuesday.

Singh got here to India from Afghanistan 28 years in the past and settled right here. He used to do “sewa” at a gurdwara at Anandpur Dham, Karala village, in line with information company ANI.

Based on reviews, Singh was a property seller and used to deal within the sale and buy of property close to the gurdwara. The youthful son of the deceased runs a cell phone store at Gaffar Market.

A case beneath sections 302 (homicide) and 34 (frequent intention) of the Indian Penal Cod (IPC) and the Arms Act was lodged on the Vikaspuri police station, the DCP stated, including that additional investigation is underway.
